The certificate course on Sustainable Living and Happiness makes learners experience sustainable and unsustainable ways of energy consumption and their ramifications on our health, hygiene and happiness. 21st Century has made us take a quantum leap from GDP based development to Happiness Index oriented progress. Hence, the learners will be asked to define, discuss and deliberate ‘development’ and ‘happiness’ both in individual and global contexts. The course introduces practical methods, techniques and tools to Reduce, Recycle and Reuse. All the units, study materials, fieldwork and discussions are organized tobring about a 360° awareness of what it means and takes to live simply. It is a residential programme.
In collaboration with the Global Travel and Tourism Partnership (GTTP), we offer a certificate course in Ecotourism. The students will be exposed to various aspects of Ecotourism blended with Gandhian values and sustainable living. They will be asked to organize nature camp with school and collage students in order to have a hands-on experience. The institute is itself an ecotourist spot which why the students will be have sufficient exploration-practices. Besides, we have a range of collaborations with various nature clubs which enable us to draw a pull of experts and explorers.
B.Voc. programme aims at imparting education that builds specific job skills in students so that they can serve the industries better. After completing a degree or diploma in B.Voc., candidates can start working in their chosen field immediately.
One of the biggest advantages of pursuing B.Voc. against common degree courses is that a candidate has multiple exit points during the programme and continued industry exposure. For instance, if a candidate choses to walk out after one year, he/she gets a Diploma Certifiacte, after two years he/she earns an Advanced Diploma and on the successful completion of three years, the students gets a Degree Certificate. We have two specializations: 1) Organic Farming and 2) Food Processing.
